Doubles Competition

The 2010 Doubles Interclub competition starts on Monday 19 July!

Mixed doubles teams consist of 6 players - 3 men and 3 woman. Mens-only doubles teams consist of 4 men.

ABA have announced the following nights for the doubles interclub competition:

Monday - B grade mixed
Tuesday - A grade mixed/C grade mens
Wednesday - B grade mens/D grade mixed
Thursday - A grade mens/C grade mixed
Monday - B grade mixed
Tuesday - A grade mixed/C grade mens
Wednesday - B grade mens/D grade mixed
Thursday - A grade mens/C grade mixed

If you have signed up for interclub please review these nights carefully, and if you have commitments on any of them please let us know so we don't put you in a team that plays on that night. Also if you don't think you can commit to playing for the full season please let us know now so we can put you on the reserves list.

It is very important you let us know your availability in advance - pulling a team at the last minute due to unavailable players can have real financial consequences for the club, and these costs may be passed on to the members who cause this to happen.

As per what we have done with singles this year there will be a prepayment scheme for the doubles competition. As always the cost will be $10 per night played, and this will be payable within 4 weeks of the start of the season. We will estimate how many games you will play in the season, and will refund the difference if you play less or ask you to top up if you play more games at the end of the season. This will apply only to those selected for a team, reserves will pay on the night to the team captain.. If you are not able to pre-pay for some reason please let us know so we can ensure you are on the reserves list.

If you wish to play in a team you must be available every week on the designated night for your grade and team. Alternatively if you cannot make a night you must personally arrange a reserve - prior to the competition starting a list of available reserves will be published. If you do not arrange a reserve you will be charged for the nights play, and if your team has to forfeit the match then you will be charged the forfeit costs.
